Sailing Manager
The Glenmore Sailing Club Sailing Manager is a position supporting the sailing operations of the sailing club and the Board members.
The scope of this position includes:

Manage programming and lesson registrations, including Summer Sailing Camps, Youth Race Team,Scouts/Guides Canada Program, MOSS program and various other programs.

Develop new programs and offerings such as Collegiate Sailing

Communicate with public regarding Club, it’s programming, and offerings, including responding to inquiries from interested parties.

Prepare grant applications (including follow up reporting) and seeking out new grant opportunities

Recruit, coordinate and track hours for volunteers at events
-
Coordinate and liaise with partners and other organizations
-
Develop and document repeatable business processes for the role

Scheduling and provide mentorship for staff

Communications management, including website, message, social media, and channel management
-
Management and Repair of Dingy Boat Fleet
Coaching of Youth Sailors

Advance the vision and business goals of the board, while promoting sailing as a fun and safe activity for all

Other tasks as assigned by the Personelle Committee or Board
The successful applicant will have:

Strong spoken, written and computer skills
-
Ability to work independently
-
CANSail Instructor Certification
-
Boat Repair Experience
-
Familiarity Checklick and Wild Apricot an asset but not required

Ability to collaborate with Staff and Board members
-
Ability to manage and set priorities
-
Experience working with volunteers
-
Knowledge of grant application writing / willingness to learn
