Indoor Sailing
This introduction to sailing event in the middle of winter in a Calgary pool is made possible by Rogers Rent-All... their industrial fans along the length of the pool provide the wind to move the boats!

Participants receive a 20 minute "sailing and safety" briefing before getting into a boat in the pool for 20 minutes of sailing. Our volunteers are in and around the pool for coaching and safety.

This discovery session is tailored to introducing the fundamentals of sailing to youth 13-18 years old (and others who are physically nimble - you need to be able to get under the sail in the boat - and up to 68 kg / 150 pounds).

All Sport One Day at the Glenmore Reservoir

Youth will have 20 minutes of "sailing and safety" instruction before getting into the sailboats for 30 minutes of sailing. The Club will have 8 Optimist sailboats on the lake for this event.

This discovery session is tailored to introducing the fundamentals of sailing to youth 13-18 years old up to 68 kg / 150 pounds. 

Sailing takes place close to shore so adults and friends have great viewing opportunities for the kids enjoying their introduction to sailing.
