Sailing in The City
(experience sailing at lake communities throughout Calgary)

We bring boats and sailors to your lake and add value to events for your community residents.

Our free programs include:

  • Sailing Demonstrations
  • "Experience Sailing" events for your community residents to go sailing with an experienced skipper.
  • We add a fun element to your beach festival with opportunities to watch sailboats on the  lake and go sailing.

The fee-based educational programs we can offer community members include:

  • "Introduction to Sailing" courses for youth
  • Learn to Sail courses for adults

Fun sailboat facts

  • The youth boats (Optimists - top picture) are incredibly stable and safe. They have multiple flotation bags inside and will stay afloat even if the cockpit were completely filled with water.
  • The boats we bring like the Laser (lower picture) have a top speed of 8 km/hr-ish in a breeze.

Watch the Calendar for the lake communities we're bringing "Sailing in the City" to this summer.
