Notice of Race

Summary of key items:

  • May 23 until September 12, 2018
  • 18:30 start
  • 3 minute start sequence
  • To participate you must be a Glenmore Sailing Club Individual or Family member, a guest of a Glenmore Sailing Club member, or a member of an Alberta Sailing Association member club
  • Register your boat(s)
  • Finish line is an obstruction
  • Time targets and limits
    • target to reach first mark within 20 minutes
    • target time for each race is 45 minutes
    • time limit for finishing is 60 minutes
    • Blue Flag Starts in effect. Start 1 minute ahead of the rest of the fleet to encourage learning and fun. Contact us if you would like to be a Blue Flag Start
  • Each boats worst 25% of results are discard in the series
  • Remember to always wear your life jacket, obey the City of Calgary bylaws, and adhere to directions given by the boat patrol
  • Be nice, have fun, sail fast, and come to the Club for after racing social and awards

Register your group for a three-hour "Introduction to Sailing" course. Scouts earn their Level 1 sailing badge through this course.

Register now for a free three-day learn to sail camp. Open to Active Military and Veterans.

Collegiate Sailing
GSC is actively supporting university students building student sailing clubs. Join other students in establishing Post-Secondary Sailing Clubs in Calgary.
